Gotta give the storm its due, Sandy was a hurricane, and the real deal. Kathleen (with the help of Anthony Fletcher and Susie Midgett) returned to Cottage Ave today to survey the damage. Our brief phone call was as they waded through the storm waters, and i could tell she was holding back the tears describing what she was seeing. This picture from our upstairs deck, the dune line used to be in-line with Fred/Christie's upper deck railing. Damage on Cottage Ave is reminiscent of 2009's Veteran's Day storm (noreaster).
