So I don't get many blog visitors. Probably because I don't post that often or maybe because I changed my blog name.  Maybe because I have tried to take down all pictures of me on this blog to no avail. Or maybe that horrible sentence I just wrote. But anyhow, I had a ton of hits over the past few weeks looking for .....deep fried turkey. I had ONE post about this two years ago for Thanksgiving! Oh well, I guess if it gets the eyes to come this way.

Somehow I am still awake. I know it's not so late, but this is about an hour past my usual bedtime. I have been tearing through and tearing up at "The Secret Life of Bees" this evening. I picked it up yesterday and can't put it down. I had to walk out of the bedroom for fear that my husband would wake up, roll over and laugh at me as my eyes are welling up.

I should be using this time to plan more of little man's first birthday. I ordered his cake today, which in all seriousness is just silly. He will be one and will remember nothing about the big day. However, I will remember it and I enjoy doing these sorts of things. Also, I don't know how big of a deal a boy's birthday will be as he gets older. When I was little we had all sorts of themed parties, Cabbage Patch Kids, roller skating and the like. I guess I should do it while I can.
